XOCOLATL
BSN: DRAMATIC!
Born
June 1, 2001, Xoca is a fine Peruvian Paso mare, a dark
bay, like rich chocolate.
Her name is an Aztec word meaning, "a chocolate drink."
That's Xoca: a tall drink of hot chocolate.

FRONT,
SIDE OR REAR, SHE'S A GORGEOUS, BRAWNY BABE!
The
pictures of Xoca below were taken the last week of May,
2006. They're hot off the presses!
These are big photos and may take some time to load. Please
be patientthey give a true impression of the
mare.
A
FRONT SHOT
Notice Xoca's broad chest, straight
legs and great feet.
|
CAPOEIRA
BSN
Putting
up these conformation shots, we were struck by the
similarities between Xoca and her father, Capoeira
BSN. Notice the similarity of their front shots. Notice
how strong both animals are. If anything, Xoca's chest
is broader than Cappy's. (Capoeira BSN was sold to
Australia where he's passing on his classic, old-style
strength. See Cappy's Page
for more details.)

XOCA FROM
THE SIDE
Notice Xoca's short back, lovely neck and
powerful stance.
XOCA FROM
THE REAR
I have seen Quarter Horses advertised with
a photo like thisexcept they didn't have hindquarters
anywhere near as good as Xoca's.
Have you seen another Peruvian Paso who looks like this
from the rear?

A FRONT
VIEW SHOWING XOCA'S STRENGTH AND GAIT
Xoca in a beautiful slow gait, paso llano
to you Peruvian aficionado's.
Her power is clearly evident in the photo. Notice Xoca's
broad chest, straight legs and great feet.
WHO DOES
XOCA LOOK LIKE?
This is Xoca's grandmother, the incomparable
La Soberbia. Compare her to Xoca in the photos on this page.
Soberbia is a genetic gold mine, the daughter of a direct
son of Sol de Oro, Viejo, and out of a full sister to *Mantequilla.
Soberbia produced the strongest horses we've owned, including
Capoeira BSN, Xoca's father.
Where does Xoca get her strength? It's genetic.
XOCA GAITING
Notice how she uses her back end, reaching
far under herself to drive from the rear.
Notice the short back and pretty head and neck.

XOCA'S QUICK
AND HANDY
She can pile through the cones like nobody's
business.

HERE SHE
COMES!
Barreling along at full speed.
SHE'S QUICK, HANDY AND CAN TURN ON A DIME.
She's
fully trained and ready for her new owner, with lots of
trail miles.

WHO DOES
SHE TAKE AFTER?
This is her father, Capoeira BSN, winning
Champion of Champions Performance Stallion.

IS THIS
THE HORSE FOR YOU? I BELIEVE THAT PEOPLE AND ANIMALS RECOGNIZE
EACH OTHER WHEN THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO BE TOGETHER. I'VE HAD
DOGS PULL ME ACROSS THE STATE WHEN I LOOKED INTO THEIR EYES
ON A PHOTO ON THE WEB.
IS THIS YOUR HORSE? DROP US AN EMAIL IF SHE IS. SHE'S WAITING
FOR YOU. AND REMEMBER, XOCA IS THE ONLY DAUGHTER OF CAPOEIRA
BSN IN THE UNITED STATES.
XOCA
IS AN ALERT, SPIRITED YOUNG MARE. SHE'S EASY TO RIDE IF
YOU CAN MOUNT HANDILY AND ARE USED TO SENSITIVE HORSES.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE AN EXPERT TO RIDE HER, JUST COMPETENT.
SHE'S PROBABLY NOT FOR KIDS, UNLESS THEY'RE OLDER TEENS
AND MEET THE ABOVE DESCRIPTION. (SOME KIDS ARE BETTER RIDERS
THAN WE ARE!)
WE
WISH YOU THE BEST, WHETHER YOU FIND YOUR HORSE HERE OR NOT.

XOCOLATL
BSN
is
the daughter of our beloved stallion,
CAPOEIRA
BSN.
CAPOEIRA
BSN
Capoeira
BSN, or "Cappy", is living example of the old style Peruvian
Paso stallion. He is named for the Brazilian martial art,
capoeira. Notice Capoeira's exceptional bone. Notice that
his feet are large and well shaped, meant to carry him and
his rider for many years. You can't see tendons and how
his feet wear very well over the Net, but he's got legs
and feet "to die for". Cappy has a nice short back, good
muscling, a beautiful head set and elegant Andalusian head.
His temperament is very, very good. He's all stallion, but
sweet. And a Multiple Champion of Champions!
CAPOEIRA
BSN has been sold to Australia.
Xocolatl BSN is his only daughter in the United
States.
If you want a mare with Cappy's blood,
Xoca is the one and only in North America.
XOCOLATL'S
MOTHER,
GABRIELA DE AMANECER

GABRIELA DE AMENECER--
Xocolatl BSN's mother.
Gabriela
de Amanecer is a Reserve Champion Breeding Mare
and winner of the Mare's Gait Class at the prestigious
Monterey Classic Peruvian Paso Horse Show, plus
many other ribbons.
Xocolatl's
parents are two of the strongest Peruvian Pasos we have
seen. Both have exceptional bone and great tendons. Both
were ridden all over, in competitions, on the trails, over
hill and dale. Neither were ever lame or sick.
Xoca
has inherited the best of her parents. She's short backed
and compact, has legs "to die for" like both Mom
and Pop, and great feet (again, like both parents). She's
well gaited and has a sweet disposition, with plenty of
brio. With all that, she's sensible and a good horse for
a competent rider.
