PART
ONE: A FAMILY STORY My
point of view writing about oaks and vineyards.
I hold BA and MA degrees in Economics and spent a year at Stanford's Graduate School of Business pursuing a Ph.D. in the subject. I looked at the oaks/winery controversy through the eyes of a professional economist and realized that no one is talking about very important ramifications of the debate which an informed electorate MUST consider. I've put together an essay which contains simple explanations of cost benefit analysis, business cycle theory, economic forecasting, and basic economic principles which must be understood to approach the debate in an adult fashion. I'm in the process of updating that discussion, which was written some four years ago, to include the latest developments. It will be up soon. In the meantime, enjoy the photos and captions. You may want to imagine the text that prompted them! Best
wishes,
